Founded by Bin Yousef, Matana Facilities Management Services (FMS) initiated its journey in 2015 in Qatar under the original banner of Bin Yousef Facilities Management. Embracing a new identity in 2023, Matana FMS emerged as a pivotal solutions provider in Qatar’s facilities management landscape.
Matana FMS was established to address the growing demands of Qatar’s real estate sector following the FIFA World Cup 2022. With a focus on innovation and efficiency, Matana has quickly become a key player in transforming facilities management across Qatar.
Matana’s approach makes advanced digital infrastructure and FM methodologies, once exclusive to major governmental and institutional players, available to a wider audience including local property owners, SMEs and both the private and public sectors. This broadening of access to high-quality facility management services is a cornerstone of our competitive advantage.
At Matana FMS, our name is our promise. Matana, meaning ‘Durability’ in Arabic, reflects the essence of our service promise. It symbolises the resilience and stability that are crucial in facilities management. Matana represents our commitment to providing dependable services, designed to meet the challenges of time.
Innovation is central to Matana’s operations. Our approach provides data-driven lifecycle solutions and asset management, resulting in sustained success of our clients’ real estate investments. Welcome to Matana FMS, where innovation drives excellence in property care!
When I established Bin Yousef in 1987, it was with a clear focus: to identify gaps in the local Qatari market and to create companies that would bridge these gaps, offering solutions for our communities and the people of Qatar. During my 27 years as Group CEO of Qatar Airways, my professional career was devoted to my country. Although my time was fully committed to Qatar Airways, I continually ensured investment in competent individuals to maintain the availability of these solutions to my country. The growth within the private and government real estate sector in the decades leading up to the FIFA World Cup 2022 has escalated the demand for high-standard buildings and facilities management services.
Bin Yousef FM was established in 2015 to meet this increasing need. In 2023, we have taken a strategic step to rebrand and invite an executive team of international experts to enhance our services, reintroducing ourselves as Matana FMS. I have personally observed the substantial impact that high-level Facilities Management can have on landlords, owners, and organisations.
My vision for Matana FMS is to set the standard for FM Service provision in Qatar and to extend the technology, infrastructure, and expertise we have developed to all sectors within Qatar and beyond to the GCC. Having contributed to the remarkable construction of my beloved country, I am now eager to bring the finest minds and systems from across the globe to ensure its maintenance and prosperity.
